CAULIFLOWER.. is an annual plant that reproduces by seeds, cauliflower heads is resemble in those in broccoli  which differs in having flower buds as the edible portion. cauliflower belongs to the group of vegetables in the species of BRASSICA OLERACEA.

CAULIFLOWER is difficult to grow compare to cabbage, in terms of weather condition the plants grows best in moderate temperature 21 to 29 degree c. with sun and moist soil. with high in organic matter and sandy soils long period to sun exposure in summer may cause cauliflower heads to discolor.

There are many variety of cauliflower

 WHITE is the most common, with white heads so rounded  by green leaves .

ORANGE.. originated from a natural mutant found in cauliflower field in Canada, it contains beta carotene as the orange pigment a provitamin compound.

GREEN.. it sometimes called BROCCOFLOWER , it is available in the normal curd shape with a fractal spiral called ROMANESCO broccoli.

PURPLE..it becomes purple because of the presence of anthocyanins, a water soluble pigment.
